for all
volunteers and also FREE “Eagles We-Haul” T-shirts for the first 50

services
company selected Bridgewater as one of 139 institutions it recommends
in its
“Best in the Southeast” section on its Web site feature, 2009 Best

the College
is described as one concerned with “personally developing students in
every
aspect of life and making each individual physically, academically,
socially,
and mentally fit for the real world.” The Princeton Review also takes
into
account what each school’s students report about their campus
experiences.

BC
FINISHES 10TH IN RECYCLE MANIA
2008
Bridgewater
College finished in 10th place in "Targeted Materials – Corrugated
Cardboard"
for Whole Campuses during RecycleMania 2008, a 10-week challenge to
determine
which school can reduce, reuse and recycle the most campus waste. Over
400
colleges and universities around the U.S. competed from Jan. 27 to
April 5,
collecting over 58 million pounds of recyclables and organics.
Bridgewater
College collected a total of 24,442.60 pounds of corrugated cardboard.
The
spirit of friendly competition sparked huge environmental gains. The
total
amount of recyclables and organic materials recovered during the 2008
competition added up to 58.6 million pounds, which in turn prevented
the
release of 25,342 metric tons of carbon equivalent (MTCE). This
reduction in
green house gases is equivalent to eliminating the impact caused in a
year by
15,439 passenger cars, the electricity use of 11,165 homes or the
burning of
440 railcars' worth of coal. Click here for complete
story.
